  • The IE4100 series is a new generation of industrial switches developed in strict compliance with industrial specifications. Built on a hardware platform with industrial-grade components, its electronic components deliver significantly higher reliability than commercial-grade parts under the same operating conditions.

  • Adopting a fanless heat dissipation loop design, it integrates multiple heat dissipation structures such as built-in heat sinks and thermal conductive adhesives to maintain consistent performance in harsh environments. The circuit board is coated with three-proof protective paint, with a wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to 85℃.

  • It features vibration resistance and dust resistance, complying with IP41 protection rating standards.

Rich Software Features


  • The IE4100 series industrial switches integrate comprehensive Ethernet communication functions, including switching, routing, ring network protection and network security.

  • It provides a complete set of Layer 2 Ethernet features, supporting 802.1Q VLAN, protocol-based VLAN, Voice VLAN and Guest VLAN. It also implements QinQ, flexible QinQ and multicast VLAN, as well as STP/RSTP/MSTP and 802.3x flow control protocols. Equipped with QoS congestion management, it classifies data and assigns priorities to ensure the transmission of critical service data. In addition, it supports Layer 2 functions such as LLDP, LACP, DLDP, GARP VLAN registration protocol and broadcast storm suppression, along with Layer 2 multicast.

  • The IE4100 series supports comprehensive Layer 3 Ethernet capabilities, including IPv4/IPv6 static routing, routed interfaces, RIP and OSPF (entry-level models). It adopts dual IPv4/IPv6 protocol stacks, and supports IGMP Snooping, DHCP protocol (DHCP Client, DHCP Server, DHCP Snooping, DHCP Relay Option 82) and DNS resolution.

  • The IE4100 series is equipped with RRPP (Rapid Ring Protection Protocol) technology, a dedicated link layer protocol for Ethernet rings. It prevents broadcast storms caused by data loops when the ring network is intact, and rapidly activates backup links in case of link disconnection to maximize network connectivity.

    Compared with STP, RRPP boasts outstanding advantages:

    Fast topology convergence (less than 50ms); convergence speed independent of node quantity; no cross-ring topology oscillation in overlapping ring networks for more stable data transmission; and support for RRPP ring load balancing to fully utilize physical link bandwidth.

  • The series delivers robust Ethernet security features. Multi-level security mechanisms effectively curb virus propagation and network traffic attacks. It supports Layer 2–4 ACL control, ARP attack defense and DoS attack protection. IEEE 802.1x enables port-based dynamic security and user identity authentication. TACACS+ and RADIUS allow centralized switch management and prevent unauthorized configuration modification. It supports rapid deployment of EAD (Endpoint Admission Control) and SAVI for source address validation in IPv6 environments.

Comprehensive Security Control Policies


  • H3C IE4100 industrial switches support AAA and RADIUS authentication, as well as dynamic and static binding of user accounts, IP addresses, MAC addresses, VLANs and ports. Cooperating with H3C iMC platform, it enables real-time online user management to promptly identify and block illegal network behaviors.

  • It provides enhanced ACL control logic, supporting 16 Kbps ACL traffic rate limiting and VLAN-based ACL delivery. This simplifies configuration and avoids waste of ACL resources.

Excellent Manageability


  • Equipped with an Ethernet management port, H3C IE4100 series supports SNMPv1/v2c/v3 and is compatible with the iMC intelligent management system. Multiple configuration methods are available, including CLI, web management, Telnet and FTP. Encrypted protocols such as SSH 2.0 and SSL ensure secure device management.

  • Four DIP switches are deployed on the device, enabling one-click management of flow control, link aggregation, port isolation and loop detection.

Green & Energy Saving


  • The IE4100 series incorporates multiple eco-friendly energy-saving designs. It supports automatic port energy saving: if an interface remains down for a specified period, the system will cut off its power supply and enter energy-saving mode. It also complies with EEE energy-saving standards. Idle ports will switch to low-power mode and be woken up by regular monitoring packets when data transmission is required. All products meet the EU RoHS standards for environmental protection and material safety.
