To fully promote the implementation of the provincial-level subsystem project for industry regulation in Hubei tobacco industry and consolidate the foundation for the industry's digital transformation, Hubei Tobacco plans to purchase edge-side environment servers (including a full set of supporting components such as server hardware, virtualization/distributed storage/hyper-converged management software). These servers will be used to deploy core business applications for prefecture-level and municipal-level companies in the province and build an integrated "new digital infrastructure" platform. Through this platform, the safe upload, rapid download and efficient interconnection of data within the entire system will be realized, helping to construct a coordinated and efficient digital management system for the entire tobacco industry in Hubei Province.
The integrated platform project for edge cloud node hyper-converged construction mainly adopts 88 units of UIS 3000 G5 hyper-converged servers. These devices will fully host the stable operation of the edge node software of the industry industrial Internet platform, the edge-side software of the identification resolution system, and the edge-side applications of the barcode scanning system for 11 prefecture-level and municipal-level companies of Hubei Tobacco in the province. By realizing real-time data collection, local preprocessing and accurate analysis on the edge side, it can effectively reduce the transmission pressure of the core network, improve the response speed of data processing, provide a solid technical base for the regulatory work of the entire tobacco industry in the province, and at the same time provide comprehensive technical support for the optimization of business processes and the improvement of service efficiency.
Through the construction and implementation of this project, Hubei Tobacco has realized the unified management and control of the edge-side environment and the aggregation of data resources of its affiliated prefecture-level and municipal-level companies. Relying on the collaborative capability of the integrated platform, it has successfully achieved the interconnection of data across the entire system, in-depth analysis, and intelligent optimization of business processes, which effectively improves the scientificity and accuracy of enterprise decision-making and significantly enhances the efficiency of production and operation management. Ultimately, it helps Hubei Tobacco break through the bottlenecks of traditional management models, achieve more efficient and lean business operation and management levels, and lay a solid foundation for the in-depth advancement of the industry's digital transformation strategy.
